Eric Mah, EdD, MHS is Associate Dean at the University of California San Diego, where he leads the administrative operations of its central clinical research program. Prior to UC San Diego, he served in several IRB leadership positions, including as Institutional Official of a large academic medical center. He has served on conference planning committees for Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R) and previously chaired its Diversity Advisory Group for many years. In 2018, he co-founded the Consortium for Applied Research Ethics – Quality (CARE-Q), a joint effort between the University of California and Stanford University, to support high-quality IRB programs nationally. Dr. Mah was initially appointed to SACHRP in 2023.
